Bear Archery 60" 45# RH Super Kodiak (Brown & Black Maple) Recurve Bow #AFT2020145

Fred Bear's bow of choice on many years of his quests was the Bear Super Kodiak. It is a real smooth shooter due to its 60" AMO length. If Fred Bear trusted it on his hunts, shouldn't you?

The 2-piece riser is made of brown and black Hard-Rock Maple featuring limbs overlaid with clear maple, backed and faced with high strength black fiberglass. The tips are handcrafted and layered with black and white fiberglass.

 

Specifications:

  • Riser: Radiused, cut-on center shelf. 2-piece construction of brown and black Dymondwood®. Rest and plate included. Tapped with 1/4" x 20 quiver inserts. Inlaid Bear medallion.
  • Limbs: Clear Maple core lamination core with black fiberglass on the back and belly. Bow tips are layered black and white fiberglass allowing the use of today's modern bow strings.
  • String: DynaFlight 97 Flemish twist bow string. Manufacturer recommended brace height: 8" - 9". Replacement string length of 56".

    Bear Super Kodiak recurve bow

    This is a great bow... I grew up shooting cheaper recurves as a kid, but when I decided to return to my traditional roots after 40 years of shooting a compound bow, I decided on the Super Kodiak, and I'm so glad I did. After fooling with the brace height and nock height for about ten minutes, I was blown away by how smooth, fast, and quiet this bow is. I couldn't be happier. AND, the customer service from Walnut Creek Outdoors was second to none! Highly recommend!
