Champion Commercial-Grade Liquid Chlorine 12.5% (Sodium Hypochlorite) 4 Gal/Case Pool Shock #CHPS41

12.5% strength commercial-grade NSF-Certified liquid chlorine by Champion. This sodium hypochlorite solution comes in 1-gallon jugs, 4 to a case. Easy-to-use, fast, and effective. Certified to NSF/ANSI 60. Shock and sanitize your pool by pouring directly into your swimming pool or feed via a peristaltic metering pump. A great alternative to tablet and granular chlorine products. No build-up of scale or cyanuric acid (CYA-stabilizer).

Features:

  • No settling on the bottom of the pool which creates stains
  • No scaling – Scaling from granular can lead to excessively high calcium/stabilizer levels which can cause scaling
  • Premium product does not cloud pool
  • Ready to use – no mixing required
  • Cost-effective option compared to alternative sanitizers
  • Four, single gallon jugs to a case
  • Certified to NSF/ANSI 60

Directions:

  • For a new pool or for spring start-up, super chlorinate with 52 to 104 ounces of liquid chlorine product for every 10,000 gallons of water to yield 5 to 10 ppm available chlorine by weight. Check the level of available chlorine with a test kit. Adjust and maintain pool water pH between 7.2 and 7.6. Adjust and maintain the alkalinity of the pool to between 50 to 100 ppm.
  • To maintain the pool, add manually or by a feeder device 11oz of this product for every 10,000 gallons of water to yield an available chlorine residual between 0.6 and 1.0 PPM by weight. Stabilized pools should maintain a residual of 1.0 to 1.5 PPM available chlorine. Test the PH, available chlorine residual and the total alkalinity of the water frequently with appropriate test kits. Frequency of water treatment with this 12.5% liquid chlorine product will depend upon temperature and number of swimmers.
